Photometric Redshift
An estimate of a galaxy’s cosmological redshift measured by observing its brightness in different color bands and comparing the data with theoretical brightnesses calculated for those color bands, for a given galaxy type, at zero redshift.

Cosmological Redshift
The fraction by which the wavelengths of light waves are shifted toward longer (redder) wavelengths from a distant source due to the expansion of the Universe.
